Cyber security, phishing and scams
Remember to remain alert to phishing attacks and scam attempts. These are becoming more sophisticated and are increasingly difficult to spot.
Please be extra-vigilant to make sure you maintain cyber security and data protection practices to help keep our organisations safe:
- If you receive a suspicious email from Cambridge OCR, please make your IT department aware and get in touch with us immediately.
- If anyone asks for your password – even if they claim to be from OCR – please refuse, make your IT department aware and get in touch with us immediately.
- If you receive an unannounced visit from a Cambridge OCR representative, please make sure you can verify their identity – if you have any concerns, please contact us.
- For guidance on cyber security, please visit the National Cyber Security Centre website at www.ncsc.gov.uk, and search for ‘schools’ to find practical resources for schools and colleges.
